Geotab - Connected Fleets Setup

  1. Create/Register an account with Geotab
  2. Once an account is created, navigate to the People/Users & Drivers side menu.
  3. Create a new user account with the authentication type set to ‘Service Account’
  4. Save the new user account’s email and password as they are needed in further steps.
  5. Navigate to Logmaster’s portal
  6. Navigate to Vehicles/Connected Fleet from the side menu
     
  7. Click on the “Add” button, and select “Geotab” as the provider.
      
  8. Key in the information obtained from step 4. Connection Name can be of your choice.
  9. “Database” and ‘Server” fields are usually mentioned in your geotab portal url https://<server>/. Example: https://my.geotab.com/my_database 
     
  10. Click on “Submit” and you should be good to go.
