How to Set Up Guided Access on iOS for Logmaster Users

Privacy and focus are crucial for users of Logmaster, an Electronic Work Diary for NHVR and WAHVA regulated Heavy Vehicle drivers. Guided Access helps you stay focused on a single app by temporarily restricting your device to that app. Here’s how to set it up on your iOS device:

Step-by-Step Guide

  1. Open Settings
    • Locate and tap the Settings app on your home screen.
  2. Go to Accessibility
    • Scroll down and tap on Accessibility.
  3. Enable Guided Access
    • Under the General section, find and tap Guided Access.
    • Toggle the switch to enable Guided Access.
  4. Set a Passcode
    • Tap Passcode Settings.
    • Choose Set Guided Access Passcode.
    • Enter a passcode that you will remember but is hard for others to guess. This passcode is used to end the Guided Access session.
  5. Optional: Enable Face ID or Touch ID
    • You can enable Face ID or Touch ID as an alternative to entering your passcode.
    • Toggle the switch next to Face ID or Touch ID.
  6. Start a Guided Access Session
    • Open the Logmaster app.
    • Quickly press the Home button three times (or the Side button on devices without a Home button).
    • Adjust any settings for the session by tapping Options in the bottom left corner and selecting your preferences.
    • Tap Start in the top right corner to begin the session.
  7. End a Guided Access Session
    • To end the session, triple-click the Home button (or Side button).
    • Enter your Guided Access passcode.
    • Tap End in the top left corner.

By following these steps, you can ensure that Logmaster remains the only accessible app during your work sessions, helping maintain privacy and focus.
